Living for Today and Tomorrow
As a kid, I was the one
who got to come off the bench
only
when we had a
fifteen-run lead.
Today,
at 38, I'm the captain of our softball team and HIV-positive. When I was first diagnosed with the virus, I never thought ten years later I'd be alive and healthy, let alone playing softball. I'll be on first base in the tournament this summer.
I'm looking forward to it.
